Fortus 360mc
A production system you can control
The Fortus 360mc™ is part of Stratasys’ High Performance line-up, which is specifically designed for demanding applications for high accuracy prototyping and direct digital manufacturing. Choose the size that fits your application best. The 360mc is available in two volume options: the basic system with a maximum build volume of 355 x 254 x 254 mm (14 x 10 x 10 in.); or an optionally upgraded system with a build envelope as big as 406 x 355 x 406 mm (16 x 14 x 16 in.). Furthermore, the upgraded system features two material bays for maximum uninterrupted productions.
Become more agile
The Fortus 360mc is a top performer and with the ability to speed up the production by adjusting the resolution it is possible to decrease the build time without compromising the geometric accuracy. The throughput of the 360mc is 70 percent higher than of the Fortus 250mc™, enabling you to further compress your design cycle, to work iteratively and increase your production.
Pick your Precision
The system is equipped with an extrusion head and gantry that maintains tight positional accuracy and can produces parts with high tolerance. The Fortus 360mc features four different layer thicknesses to choose from. The printing settings can be managed easily to optimize the precision or the speed, or to fine-tune the perfect balance between the finest possible feature detail and the fastest build. When set to the highest resolution mode, the 360mc is able to print with a 0.005 inch layer thickness, providing a smooth surface and finish that is almost indistinguishable from an injection-molded object.
Production and Skills
Because the Fortus 360mc is fully enclosed, it produces minimal exposure to chemicals and waste. This means you can install the Fortus 360mc© almost anywhere, but please use caution because no one is immune to the toxic effects of small particles, that of which all 3D printers make. An added advantage is that, unlike other FDM machines where there is residue to worry about, these machines have minimal waste. Because the Fortus systems are so simple there minimal need for highly specialised skills and an operator can be trained within a few hours to operate the Fortus 360mc©.
Applications
The Fortus 360mc© has many applications but apart from the normal applications such as blow moulding, concept moulding, end use parts, jigs and fixtures and much more it also has the capacity of producing soluble cores.
Materials
The 360mc is compatible with three materials, which have great mechanical properties such as strength, stability and heat resistance.
Compatible Materials
MODEL MATERIALS • ABS-M30 • PC • PC-ABS
SUPPORT MATERIALS
• Soluble PC-ABS and ABS-M30
• Soluble or break-away for PC
