The Fortus 900mc™ has been specifically designed for direct digital manufacturing, where you can bring your biggest ideas to life. It is the largest, most precise and powerful FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) 3D printer in Stratasys’ Performance line-up. Having the largest build size of all Fortus® systems, the Fortus 900mc is able to handle the most demanding manufacturing needs. Furthermore, two material bays allow high throughput, duty cycles and the capacity for long uninterrupted production runs.

As for quality, the 900mc is a quantum leap ahead of other FDM printers. Not only has the build envelope increased dramatically in size in comparison to the previous Fortus systems, furthermore, significant changes in its mechanical, electromechanically and electrical systems have been made. Specifically, the head gantry is driven by a ball-screw technology resulting in an unmatched accuracy with improvements in predictability and repeatability. The control software leverages the system’s hardware to deliver superior throughput and reliability. The Fortus 900mc© with its improvements allows to streamline the processes right from CAD designs into the final product.
Material
Like all the Fortus 3D production systems the 900mc uses a wide range of stable thermoplastics that have a proven record to outperform virtually all the competing technologies regarding accuracy and repeatability. The materials have advanced mechanical properties allowing your parts to endure heart, caustic chemicals, sterilization and high-impact applications. No matter if for conceptual modelling, functional prototypes, manufacturing tools or consumer products – the materials compatible with the Fortus 900mc can be used for any purpose, industry and application.

ACCURACY
Parts are produced within an accuracy of +/- .089 mm or +/- .0015 mm per mm (+/- .0035 in. or +/-.0015 in. per in.), whichever is greater.
Z part accuracy includes an additional tolerance of +/- 0.000 mm slice height.
Note: Accuracy is geometry-dependent. Achievable accuracy specification is derived from statistical data at 95% dimensional yield.
